Modi College won Overall Shooting Championship held at Patiala

M M Modi College, Patiala has won the Overall Shooting championship of Punjabi University, Patiala held at Marksman Shooting Academy, Patiala. The shooting teams of the college participated and won first position in Air Riffle Shooting (Boys) as well as Air Rifle Shooting (Girls) and Air Pistol (Boys). Another team of girl shooters of Modi college stood second in the Air Pistol Shooting in the championship.

College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the winner teams and their teacher incharge Prof. Nishan Singh and Sports Department. He said that our college is committed for providing training and support to our players and we are proud of their achievements.

The members of Shooting teams Arshdeep Singh, Preetkaran, Amanpreet Singh and Vanshika Chaudhry have been selected for participation in All India Inter University championship.

The winning teams, Air Rifle team consists of Arshdeep Singh, Preetkaran and Rajbir Singh Sidhu (Boys) while Air Pistol team (Boys) is composed of Amanpreet Singh, Arshdeep Banga and Chanderjot Singh.

The winner team of Air Riffle Shooting (Girls) is represented by Vanshika Chaudhry, Gurleen Kaur and Seerat. Air Pistol (Girls) represented by Pratibha, Gurleen Kaur and Pushpreet Kaur.

Dean sports Dr. Nishan Singh, Dr Harneet Singh and Prof. Mandeep Kaur also congratulated the winner teams.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਕਸਮੈੱਨ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿੱਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਉਵਰਆਲ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿੱਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਏਅਰ ਪਿਸਟਲ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ (ਲੜਕੇ), ਏਅਰ ਰਾਈਫਲ (ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਤੇ ਏਅਰ ਰਾਈਫ਼ਲ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਏਅਰ ਪਿਸਟਲ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ (ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤਕਰਨ, ਅਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਵੰਸ਼ਿਕਾਂ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਅੰਤਰ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਰਾਈਫ਼ਲ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿੱਪ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਿਧਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਹਰਾ ਇਹਨਾ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨਾਲ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਵਾਈਆ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੱਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।

ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਅਰ ਰਾਈਫਲ ਟੀਮ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ ।ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਏਅਰ ਪਿਸਟਲ ਟੀਮ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਬੰਗਾ ਤੇ ਚੰਦਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਏਅਰ ਰਾਈਫਲ (ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਚੌਧਰੀ, ਗੁਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਰਤ ਬੰਸਲ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਏਅਰ ਪਿਸਟਲ (ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ, ਗੁਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
